Yeaaaah!!!! The first "BIG Mix" went off last Wednesday night, like no other event before! We had 300 people attend this very exclusive event. Over 20 celebrities showed up including the world famous Charo, Lorna Luft, Jeff Speakman, Adrian Zmed, and one of my favorites of all time, Brian Tee from the new film, Fast & The Furious: Tokyo Drift. Go Brian! We raised nearly $100,000 to benefit Big Brothers Big Sisters of Southern Nevada. As a BBBS board member, I am honored to be a part of such an important organization. And the venue? Words cannot describe! Chameleon Studios donated their ultra-exclusive venue to us at cost. Chameleon Studios is THE most private production facility in the nation. It's like a night club, lounge, private club, bar, and movie set all rolled into one...And a huge thanks to my favorite person in the world, Cheryl Irwin, President of Irwin productions and founder of Chameleon Studios. Next year's event....To be determined. One thing is for sure, bigger, bolder, and better!

Interesting phrase...."Pain is weakness leaving the body." I once heard that phrase on television, but the more time goes by, I relate it to almost every area in my life. As simple as it sounds on the surface, I think it is actually quite complex. The first thought that came to my mind was my personal trainer working me hard like he does 3 or 4 times every week..."No pain, no gain." But as I continued to think about that phrase, it struck me as very relevent to business/entrepreneurialship. As an entrepreneur, we are used to taking the road less traveled...Nothing easy is worth achieving. Although I am hesitent to use the term "pain" in describing business, it does have some merrit. Business is challenging. If you're growing, you are constantly under pressure not to fail. Being an entreprenuer is not an easy path to take. It requires dedication, determination, skill, and emense strategic thought. In some way, the word "pain" can be associated with growing a company. But it is a "good" pain...it is the kind of pain that makes weakness leave the body...Makes us stronger, smarter, and more capable. Every challenge, trial, and tributlation will inevitably make us stronger. So is pain a bad thing? Truly not. Pain is only a biproduct of making us better.

Interestingly enough, as much as we think we may know at any one point in time, there is always someone who knows more. I am constantly reminded that life is a never ending learning experience...When we stop learning is when we're burried 6 feet under. As I lead Diamond Bay into it's third year of 200% growth per year, I am analizing the people we need to gain in order to make that a continuing reality. When it al comes down to it, the marketing, corporate branding, and all of the deal-flow in the world won't make us successful...It is the people we surround ourselves with that make the difference. I have truly seen that this year, and what a great value it is to have learned that early on in life...And much thanks to a great friend and mentor, Dick, for keeping that in the front of my mind. I must always remember: Diamond Bay is only as good as the people we surround ourselves with. I am proud, so very proud, of the people we have, who make Diamond Bay what it is today.

The Washington DC MoneyShow was a huge hit! Diamond Bay's VP of Investor Relations and I arrived early Wednesday morning to prepare for the show and get things ready for my speech. The show opened without a hitch on Thursday, and things went better than planned. We had a tremendous response to our product. I spoke to a crowd of several hundred people that afternoon about trust deed investments, and again, had a great response. I am definitely looking forward to Chicago and London later this year, as well as the World MoneyShow in Orlando early next year! Jordan Wirsz
